We strongly advise that guests hire a car from Myoko, Nagano or Joetsumyoko Station rather than Tokyo as this will ensure no hidden costs relating to not having winter tyres included and that your insurance covers snow conditions. To drive in Japan, you must have a valid International Drivers’ Permit. Please reach out if you would like help hiring a car.
