The 2025–26 ski season in Myoko is set to begin soon, and here’s the latest on resort openings for guests staying at Myoko Apartments. All dates are dependent on snowfall, so conditions may shift. Knowing the Myoko resort opening dates will help early season visitors plan ski days and make the most of their time in Myoko.

Resorts Opening on December 13th

Several key resorts are scheduled to open on December 13th: Akakura Onsen, Ikenotaira Alpen Blick, Suginohara, Madarao, and Lotte Arai. A little further away,  Charmant Hiuchi is also expected to open the same day, offering another option for those keen enough.

Myoko resort opening dates a bit later in December

Other resorts opening just a little later in December are: Akakura Kanko on the 19th, Tangram Ski Circus on the 20th, Seki Onsen on the 23rd, and Kurohime on the 24th.

Other Nearby Options

For those willing to take a slightly longer drive, Nozawa Onsen is typically a bit under an hour from Myoko Apartments in winter (depending on conditions, of course). Its combination of powder and traditional village atmosphere makes it a popular day trip – one not really doable via train or bus, but when renting a car it becomes very doable with a tiny bit of planning.
